By creating an account or using StoryThread (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we believe are being used fraudulently or in violation of these Terms.
Content You Upload
You retain full ownership of all photos, videos, voice recordings, and other content ("Your Content") that you upload to StoryThread. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the right to upload all content you submit, and that Your Content does not violate any third-party rights (including copyright, privacy, or publicity rights) or any applicable law.
We will not use Your Content for advertising, AI model training, or share it with any third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or sexually exploitative of children • Impersonate any person or entity • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service • Upload content containing viruses, malware, or other harmful code • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
Content Moderation
We do not actively monitor uploaded content. However, we reserve the right to remove any content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or applicable law, and to suspend or terminate the associated account without prior notice.

Service Availability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We strongly recommend that you maintain your own independent backups of any photos, videos, or other content you upload. We are not responsible for lost content.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
